SettlePou Volunteers at North Texas Food Bank
08.18.17
SettlePou closed its office on the afternoon of Wednesday, August 16th to volunteer as a group at the North Texas Food Bank (“NTFB”). NTFB is passionately pursuing a hunger-free community by distributing donated food items through a network of more than 200 food assistance partners in 13 different counties. The NTFB provided access to 70 million meals in 2016 and is currently striving to meet its goal to relieve hunger in our community by launching a 10-year plan to provide access to 92 million nutritious meals annually by 2025.
SettlePou is very excited to have contributed to NTFB’s goal by donating time to sort and package food. SettlePou’s team inspected produce and perishable items, salvaged donations, and prepared packages for Catholic Charities. SettlePou’s efforts will help provide over 8,000 meals for people in need. SettlePou had such a wonderful and fulfilling experience at NTFB that it is already looking forward to spending more time at NTFB in the future!
