Jeffrey J. Porter

Jeff Porter is the Chair of SettlePou’s Real Estate practice. Jeff enjoys the substance of real estate law—his clients’ projects “are real; you can see and touch them.” Employing his 35+ years of experience in a myriad of real estate matters, Jeff is devoted to achieving his clients’ goals for each project.

Jeff’s nomination by his peers as a Life Fellow for the Texas Bar Foundation and Sustaining Life Fellow for the Dallas Bar Foundation speaks well of his commitment to maintaining the integrity and reputation of the legal system.

Throughout his career, Jeff has represented pension fund advisors, developers, and private companies and funds in the acquisition, disposition, development, leasing, and financing of all types of projects, including multi-family, retail, office, industrial, golf/resort, and medical.

A seventh-generation Texan, Jeff is devoted to his state and the city of his birth, Dallas. He enjoys spending time with his family and friends, studying the Bible, reading about Texas history, and playing golf.
